Commuter Information

Driving Directions to 401 9th Street

*Below directions will get you from points surrounding DC, into the center of the Penn Quarter Area near Hotel Monaco and the Portrait Gallery*

From Points North :

  • Take I-95 South/Washington and merge onto I-95 South – 33 minutes
  • Exit 22B for Baltimore/Washington towards Washington South
  • Merge onto MD-295 – 7 minutes
  • Take exit onto US-50 W/New York Ave NE towards Washington (Entering District of Columbia) – 8 minutes
  • Turn left onto 6th NW – 1 minute
  • Take a 2nd right onto Massachusetts Ave NW
  • Continue onto K St NW
  • Turn left onto 9th St NW – Destination will be on the left – 1 minute

From Points South

  • Take I-95 North
  • Take  I-395 North  - Entering District of Columbia
  • Follow I-395 North exit towards Capitol Hill/Verizon Centre/National Park
  • Merge onto I-395N
  • Take the 12th St exit towards L’Enfant Promenade
  • Slight left onto 12th St Expressway
  • Continue onto 12th Street NW – 2 minutes
  • Turn right onto F St NW – 1 minute
  • Turn right onto 9th St NW – Destination will be on the left

From Points West

  • Take Route 66 East -Entering District of Columbia – 10 minutes
  • Continue onto US-50E/Constitution Ave NW – 3 minutes
  • Turn left  onto 15th St NW – 2 minutes
  • Turn right  onto New York Ave NW – 2  minutes
  • Take right onto 9th St NW – Destination will be on the left – 1 minute

From Points East:

  • Follow Route 50 West toward Washington/I-97/Baltimore (entering District of Columbia) -34 minutes
  • Turn left onto 6th St NW – 1 minute
  • Take 2nd right onto Massachusetts Ave NW
  • Continue onto K St NW
  • Turn left onto 9th St NW – Destination will be on the left – 1 minute
     

WMATA/Metro 
METRO buses and the Red, Green and Yellow Line subway are all within a three-minute walk from 401 9th Street.

​​​​​​​A bicycle cage with racks is provided for your convenience inside the Market Square North Garage on the P-1 Level.  The bicycle cage is accessible via a combination lock (code provided by the Boston Properties Management office).  However, Boston Properties Property Management and Parking Management, Inc. are not responsible for theft or damage of bicycles or other personal property left at these bicycle racks.  Storage of bicycles in any common area lobby, service area, stairwell, or corridor is prohibited.  Bicycles, skateboards, and gas powered scooters are strictly prohibited from being brought into the office building.
